Before you order: the Transfer Market opens in your FC 27 Web App, two-step verification is on and your EA backup codes are to hand. Coins stay on the platform you pick.

There’s no shortcut EA approves of, but FC 27 pays noticeably better than last season. Below is how to make coins in FC 27 within EA’s rules: its own list, what changed this year, what each mode pays, how to turn items into coins and what gets clubs into trouble.
The official list
Four ways EA approves
The best starting point for how to make coins in FC 27 is EA’s FC rules page, which sets out the ways of earning it’s happy with. Everything else on this page is a variation on these four.
- Play matches in Ultimate Team
- Earn rewards in modes such as Rivals, Squad Battles and SBCs
- Quick-sell tradeable items for coins
- Sell items for a fair price on the Transfer Market
The last point has a qualifier that matters: a fair price. EA treats using the market to pass coins to a friend, or feeding one club from several accounts, as coin distribution rather than earning.
What changed
FC 27 pays more
More coins after each match
In FC 26 a match typically brought in about 500 to 600 coins. EA’s FC 27 notes say Champions and Rivals could reward several times as much, with an increase for Squad Battles as well. EA hasn’t turned “several times” into an exact figure, so we won’t either.
Rewards you can actually sell
EA’s launch notes speak of “a significantly higher proportion” of tradeable rewards across Objectives, game modes and the rest of FUT, plus a bigger share delivered as straight coins and tradeable packs. Division Rivals went further: at launch, all of its pack rewards could be traded.
More coins in circulation
EA’s developer update of 1 October 2026 compared coin balances with the same moment a year earlier and found them over 50% higher. That’s all players together, not any single club.
Mode by mode
Rivals, Champions and Squad Battles
Division Rivals
EA counts Rivals and Squad Battles as the two most played FUT modes, and in FC 27 Rivals pays more coins both after matches and in its weekly rewards. The Division 1 Upgraded Rewards EA showed at launch combine 95,000 coins with a TOTW Player Pack, a Giant Gold Pack, a pick of 1 from 5 83+ Gold Players, five 83+ Gold Players Packs and four 84+ Gold Players Packs. Bounties are back as well. For when the weekly rewards land, see Rivals rewards time in the UK.
Champions
Champions Finals return as a 15-match run, with bigger coin rewards than FC 26 offered. Qualifying has fewer hoops: you can now collect Champions Qualification Points in Rivals or Squad Battles, and the Division 6 requirement EA used to set is gone. There are also Champions Tokens and a Token Store with red TOTW items. Some players still say Weekend League; EA’s name for the mode is Champions.
Squad Battles
Still here, and paying more per match than last season. You get weekly competition matches, Battle Points and ranks, Featured and TOTW squads to replay, Co-Op, and now Champions Qualification Points too.
| Mode | Weekly coins, FC 26 Season 1 |
|---|---|
| Rivals | 1,500–25,000 |
| Champions | 2,000–85,000 |
| Squad Battles | 3,000–20,000 |
Beyond the big three
Where else the coins come from
Live Events
Online and single-player Live Events take turns, with Tournaments, Gauntlets and Exhibitions all returning. Single-player events reward you through Objectives rather than a weekly ranking. EA ranks Live Events as the third most played mode, after Rivals and Squad Battles.
Rush, Moments and Drafts
Rush is a co-op, small-sided mode where you take one Player Item into the match. Moments let you swap Moment Stars for packs. Drafts and Co-Op complete the list. Any tradeable item that drops from their packs can go straight onto the market.
SBCs and the FUT Gallery
SBCs feature on EA’s list too, in its article on using coins safely. FC 27 added Streamlined SBCs, scored on overall rating, rarity and Holographic status, which accept duplicates and partial submissions; the Companion App got them on 28 September 2026. Puzzle-style Challenge SBCs keep the traditional format. Completing and grading Sets in the FUT Gallery earns Gallery Tokens plus Gallery Level rewards, among them Hall of FUT items and Holographic items.
Season Pass
Every eligible match adds 15 to 100 Season Points, with a daily cap of 850. Seasons 1 to 5 each come with a pass; Season 1, Ones to Watch, ran from 17 September to 22 October 2026.
Objectives
Objectives keep arriving through the season, and in FC 27 more of their rewards are tradeable. New clubs also get a long starter run that EA calls Foundations, six groups in all, each paying out players, packs and coins:
- The Journey Begins
- First Team Dreams
- Rising Through the Ranks
- Market Madness
- Chasing Greatness
- Total Football
Items into coins
Cashing in what you win
Quick Sell
Instant and certain, and on EA’s approved list. It’s the sensible choice for items nobody will pay more for. If you regret one, the Web and Companion Apps can bring a quick-sold player back for a limited time; the details are with our FC 27 tax calculator.
Listing on the market
Worth the wait for anything other players want, but the seller pays EA’s cut, 5% according to player guides. Check the break-even price before you list, and remember that items EA marks as untradeable can’t be listed at all.
A word on bronze packs
In FC 27, Bronze, Silver and Gold items no longer come in Common and Rare versions, and pack names now go by size, from Mini up to Giant. Player guides call the old bronze pack method less reliable than before, so treat older advice built on it with care.
Trading
What trading guides suggest
Trading means buying for less than you can sell, after the cut. That stays within EA’s rules provided you trade by hand and at fair prices. The methods below come from player guides, not from EA, and none is guaranteed to work in any given week.
Guides mention sniping underpriced listings, mass bidding on many auctions at once, buying when reward drops bring a wave of supply, stocking up on Team of the Week players, timing SBC fodder, flipping managers and the bronze pack method. Each can go wrong when prices move against you.
Two rules apply whichever you try. Do the sums first, because a margin that looks good before the cut can vanish after it. And nothing automated: EA’s words are “Don’t use any sort of in-game bots, automation, or tools like auto-buyers.”
Not worth it
What puts a club at risk
- Bots, scripts and auto-buyers of any kind
- Sending coins to a friend, directly or through the market
- Funnelling coins from several accounts into one
- Buying coins from a third party, us included
EA lists what can follow, even for a first offence: coins removed, Transfer Market access restricted, the club deleted, and bans from online play or from FC games altogether. We sell coins, and we’d still rather you knew that before deciding. The detail is on our page about the ban risk.
Patience
How long it takes
Honestly, how fast the balance grows depends on you: how often you play, which Rivals division you’re in, whether you reach the Champions Finals and whether you trade. EA’s figures give a feel for the scale. A typical FC 26 match paid 500 to 600 coins and FC 27 pays several times that in Rivals and Champions, but the weekly rewards are where large sums arrive at once, and those depend on your results.
A steady routine fits most weeks: play your Rivals and Squad Battles matches, claim the weekly rewards, finish the Objectives you’d do anyway, hand in SBCs only when the reward beats the market value of the cards you give up, and list anything tradeable you won’t use.
If the sums don’t fit your week, buying is the other route, with the risks set out above. Prices start at £5.34 per 100,000 coins on PC today; every package is on today’s coin prices.
Short answers
Earning questions

Which mode pays the most coins in FC 27?
We haven’t found a full FC 27 reward table from EA, so there’s no official ranking. What EA has said: rewards in Champions and Rivals can be several times the usual 500 to 600 coins per FC 26 match, and Champions Finals pay more than last year. In EA’s FC 26 Season 1 figures, Champions had the highest weekly ceiling of the three big modes.
Is Squad Battles still in FC 27?
Yes. EA didn’t replace it: it returns with weekly competition matches, Battle Points and ranks, plus Featured and TOTW squads to play again and a Co-Op mode. In FC 27 it also pays more coins per match than in FC 26 and gives Champions Qualification Points, so it now helps you towards Champions as well.
Are rewards tradeable in FC 27?
Far more of them than before. EA says a significantly higher share of rewards across Objectives, modes and the rest of FUT is tradeable, with more paid as straight coins and tradeable packs. Every pack reward in Division Rivals was tradeable at launch. Some items are still marked untradeable, and those can’t go on the market.
Is it allowed to trade on the Transfer Market?
Yes, by hand and at fair prices: market sales are one of the four earning routes EA itself approves. What EA forbids is automation, meaning bots and tools such as auto-buyers, and using the market to move coins between players or accounts, which it treats as coin distribution.
Does Ultimate Team give coins for logging in every day?
We couldn’t confirm any daily login coin reward in FC 27 from EA’s own information, so we don’t count on one. What EA does cap by the day is Season Points: 15 to 100 for each eligible match, up to 850 a day, towards the Season Pass rather than your coin balance.
